ALAGAPPA & CO was established in  1940 at the famous temple city of India- MADURAI which was later shifted  to the headquarters of Chettinadu Region KARAIKUDI  and opened by the great philanthropist Vallal Dr.RM.ALAGAPPA CHETTIAR in  1947. Initially  we carried out our business as a General Merchant in Madurai and then as  a distributor in KARAIKUDI for the leading companies.

he renowned companies such as TT.KRISHNAMACHARI & CO(WOODWARDS GRIPE WATER),BRITANIA BISCUITS,HORLICKS,GUJARAT CO-OPERATIVE MILK MARKETING FEDERATION LTD(AMULSPRAY & AMULYA),MANGALORE GANESH BEEDI WORKS  appointed us as distributors for old Ramnad district and later for Sivaganga district.The special feature is that all the FMCG products are available under  one roof  in ALAGAPPA & CO.
